Baldwin Park Takes Two in Santa Barbara

by Cory Kwok

Baldwin Park’s business vacation in the Santa Barbara area this weekend reaped successful dividends in both games for their fourth and fifth consecutive wins, beginning with a 4-0 shutout against San Marcos on Friday before rallying late to defeat Bishop Diego 7-5 on Saturday.
Sergio Flores threw 3 2/3 scoreless innings in relief towards a win, and helped his own cause by contributing two hits and two RBI, including a game-tying RBI double before sharp shooting Justin Padilla capped a four run top-7th and came through with a go-ahead two run single in the comeback victory over Bishop Diego.
On Friday, Jordan Palacio pitched a complete game three hit shutout for the Braves, which blanked San Marcos 4-0 and received a huge two run triple from Justin Padilla.
Baldwin Park is now 5-3 on the season.
