The Mark Keppel Aztecs shot their way to 16-2 first quarter lead and never looked back in a 65-42 victory over the Monrovia Wildcats on Friday night at Monrovia High School.
The contest, being played in the school’s old gymnasium with the floor in the new facility being refurbished, never turned competitive despite the Wildcats Aubrey Fisher’s game high of 19 points.
Monrovia dropped to 6-7 on the year and the Aztecs improved to 10-4.
Keppel had four players in double figures as Adam Thompson led the way with 17 points. Bertram Mak finished with 14 while Bailey Kikuchi and Trey Shishima each added 11.
Fisher was the only Wildcat in double figures. Justus Tucker had eight and Michael Lara added seven. Four Monrovia players had two points each.
