George Hernandez

The Monrovia Wildcats defeated the Montebello Oilers 41-6 on Friday night at Montebello High School to reach the Mid-Valley Division semifinals for the sixth consecutive year.
The Wildcats Kurt Scoby found the end zone four times and rushed for 230 yards, to give him 2,026 yards on the season.
The Oilers defense stopped Monrovia on its first drive, but a dropped punt return gave the ball right back to the Wildcats and Scoby took it to the house from 32-yards out on his first carry of the game.
Mid Valley Division’s second leading rusher Montebello’s Issac Medibles had 24-yards rushing for the Oilers before leaving the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury.
Monrovia quarterback Deshawn Potts went 8 of 12 for 83-yards, he had a 54-yard pass to Octavius Spencer who took it to paydirt. Potts also had 102-yards on the ground.
Next week the Wildcats travel north to Paraclete.
