Eric Bergstrom to take over at Alhambra

Eric Bergstrom, who has been the offensive coordinator at Occidental College since 2009, will be named the head coach at Alhambra Monday multiple sources have confirmed.
Bergstrom was promoted to associate head coach at Occidental in June 2012. As OC Bergstrom has orchestrated Occidental’s high powered offense. In 2011 Occidental was in the top twenty in Division III schools in red zone efficiency, first down offense and passing offense. Under his tutelage quarterback Luke Collis finished third in the nation in completions.
Bergstrom has been with Oxy since 2004 when he began as tight ends coach. Bergstrom played tight end at UC Davis graduating in 2001.
Bergstrom will take over for Chuck Leonardis, who was let go along with his entire staff on Tuesday over an issue with nutritional supplements.
