Bellflower –

The Mountain View Vikings traveled down the 605 Thursday and engaged in a four-way toss with Bellflower, Downey, and Schurr.

The Vikes were undermanned against the Southeast powerhouses and a physical Schurr team, but they competed.

“We have a lot of guys out today,” said second year HC Victor Ambruso. “Lot of stuff going on down at school, that’s our third string quarterback.”

The third string quarterback flinging the ball fearlessly was Steven Barrers.

Rumors of Ambruso scrapping the double-wing have proved to be untrue.

“We’re going to run some stuff out of shotgun, but we’re stilling going to be a wing team,” he said.
