Chris Long resigned as the head coach at Arcadia Thursday morning after just one year at the helm sources confirmed. The Apaches finished 4-7 overall (4-3 in the Pacific League) and lost in the first round of the playoffs to La Mirada 42-17.
Long had previously been an assistant under long time HC Jon Dimalante who stepped down after the 2011 season. Long also had a stint as the head coach at Hoover. Reasons for the resignation are undisclosed at this time. The search for a replacement will begin immediately.
