By: Joe Torosian, Sports Writer

With seventeen schools in our coverage zone, we listed a Top 10 all season. With the season just about over, we decided to list them all. Five teams remain alive in the playoffs, including all three representatives from the Mission Valley League.

(Alive and Well)

1.  Monrovia (9-2) – Wildcats haven’t lost a playoff game since 2009.

2.  Rio Hondo Prep (9-1) – Colby Rivera throws four touchdown passes and Kares win.

3.  South El Monte (7-4) – Red hot Eagles have won five straight.

4.  El Monte (9-2) – Lions living on the edge…but still living.

5.  Arroyo (7-4) – Where were these Knights all year?

(No Longer in the Land of the Living)

6.  Sierra Vista—Fell at Nordhoff

7.  La Puente—Fell at home to El Segundo

8.  Temple City—Fell at Paraclete

9.  Arcadia—Fell at La Mirada

(Never Made it to The Post-Season)

10.  Gabrielino—When you go 7-3 you should go to the playoffs

11.  Alhambra—To think this team was alive till the end, show’s a ton of character.

12.  Duarte—They expected more of themselves, but the Montview was pretty good.

13.  San Gabriel—A touchdown here, a tackle there, and they could be league champs.

14.  Rosemead—Wha happen! We still think this is a good team.

15.  Mt. View—In a lesser MVL season, these guys might have made the playoffs.

16.  Bosco Tech—Struggled in a lousy Del Rey League.

17.  Baldwin Park—When you go winless, there is no place left to go.
