Two teams battling to get of the 2012 swamp. They both have reasons to win, they both have ample excuses, but the Moors have Ezra Broadus.

Keppel (0-7) at San Gabriel (1-6)

This one is about as hard to call as USC versus Slippery Rock. The Matadors are set to explode a 50-bomb on Aztecs.

Del Rey League

Bosco Tech (1-6) at Mary Star of the Sea (2-5)

We don’t want to say this game is ugly, but it has a strange resemblance to a cat named Frankenstein. The Stars are will in the CIF hunt.

Montview League

Sierra Vista (4-3) at Bassett (2-5)

Should be a good match up. The Olympian are improved, the Dons are still thinking, wishing, hoping, for the playoffs.

Duarte (4-3) at La Puente (5-2)

Not just talking playoffs here, but were also talking about how you want to enter the playoffs. A second place team with a chance for a home game, or a third place team getting on the bus and driving to Ojai?

Mission Valley League

Mt. View (3-4) at El Monte (5-2)

A small hurdle for the Lions on the way to the MVL crown.

We will find out more about the Eagles this week than last. Can the Panthers regain focus after last week’s loss to El Monte?

Truly a fate of the world contest. Long history between these schools, crossed blood lines, the difference between second place and Sierra Canyon in the first round.

Monrovia (5-2) Vs. Blair (0-7) at Muir H.S.

This will sound awful, but for the good of area football the Wildcats need to drop 100 on the Vikings. The attention will embarrass those who put this team on the field in 2012. The players should have never been exposed to this.

Valle Vista League

Baldwin Park (0-8) at Northview (5-2)

The Braves are the best 0-8 team around…sounds funny but true.

Rio Hondo Prep (6-1) Vs. Flintridge Prep (4-3) at Occidental

For the sake of the Prep League you want it to be close, but the Kares are going to demonstrate again why they belong in the Olympic League.
