Baldwin Park; Loose & Confident

Baldwin Park, CA – “We’ve done real good,” says new Baldwin Park HC Chris Williams. “We’re a little banged up right now but we’ve done well.”

The Braves have dealt with changes, unexpected changes, and the changes that didn’t come.

The first hit was the loss of longtime HC James Heggins and drawn out process of hiring a new head coach which turned out to be Williams. A solid offensive line was jolted when left guard Hector Lopez, a talented left guard, decided not to play. That position has been filled by stud middle linebacker Dominic Hilo. The change that didn’t come was after a heated spring/summer battle at quarterback incumbent starter Michael Moran has held off Anthony Flores.

“Anthony had a great summer, but when we got under helmets and pads Moran’s experience just stood out,” said Williams.

The Braves, if they don’t have big numbers, they do have size and some folks with talent. Here are a few pics.
