El Monte Parks & Recreation’s Haunted Spooktacular at Zamora Park

Brave El Monte employees are invited to tour a haunted house, mingle with the spirits of pioneer settlers at a historic cemetery and eat some ghoulish snacks during El Monte Parks & Recreation’s Haunted Spooktacular at Zamora Park

The El Monte Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, in conjunction with the El Monte Historical Society, will host a Haunted Spooktacular on

Thursday, Oct. 24th  and Thursday, Oct. 31st  from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Zamora Park, 3820 Penn Mar Ave., El Monte.

Activities will include a Haunted House ($1.00 admission), food booths, arts and crafts, information tables, game booths, a bouncer, pictures with Halloween characters and a spooky good time.

One Night Only: Oct. 24th  the Spooktacular event will offer a $15 Haunted Package which will includes dinner at Zamora Haunted Art House; admission and fast pass for Zamora Park Haunted House; and spooky transportation to a tour of Savannah Cemetery, the historic cemetery of the pioneer settlers who founded El Monte in the 1850’s.

Two tours will be offered: 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. and 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sign-ups are limited.

The $15 Haunted Package is open to adults and children ages 7 and older. Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Sign up at the El Monte Community Center, 3130 Tyler Ave., from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
