I hold a Pupil Personnel Services Credential, Preliminary Administrative Services Credential,  and Drop-out Prevention Specialist certification.

My experience is as follows:

  • 21 year educator

Instructional Assistant

AVID College Program Coordinator

Migrant Education Summer School Principal

School Counselor

  • Youth Basketball Coach for the ASPIRE after school program
  • School Site Council
  • ELAC/DELAC trainer
  • Recipient of the PTA Golden Oak Award
  • Recipient of the ACSA Golden Apple Award
  • President, El Monte/South El Monte Emergency Resources Association (ERA)
  • Coordinator, ERA Christmas Baskets and Gifts

Challenges facing El Monte Union High School District:

  • Impact of declining enrollment and budget cuts
  • Improving student achievement
  • Low staff morale

I am committed to ensure:

  • College and Career Readiness For All Students
  • Accountability and Fiscal Responsibility
  • Parent Involvement
  • Safe and Secure Schools

I want students in the El Monte Union High School District to have the same opportunities that have been granted to me.  Education is the equalizer in our society.
