Temple City High School Launches Final Fundraising Push for Technology
You can help Temple City High School raise $200,000 for much-needed technology improvements!
The High School must raise $100,000 by September 30 to receive an additional $100,000 in matching funds from an anonymous donor.
TCHS is asking staff, parents, alumni, friends, community members, and businesses to help it achieve its goal of raising $100,000 by September 30.
TCHS has raised nearly $80,000 thanks to donations made by parents, staff, alumni, business partners, Temple City Schools Foundation, local businesses, and community members! All contributions are tax deductible; TCHS’s tax ID number is 95-6002989. Every donation makes a difference, regardless of size.
Checks should be made payable to “Temple City High School” and sent to:
Principal’s Office, Temple City High School, 9501 Lemon Avenue, Temple City, CA 91780. If you prefer to use a credit card, you may go to the TCUSD website at www.tcusd.net, search “Schools” for Temple City High School, and click on the link on the right side of the page that reads “Help Us Meet Our Goal of $100,000.”
Last spring, Temple City High School received a very generous $250,000 donation from an anonymous alumnus. With this money, the donor is funding projects on campus that focus primarily on upgrading outdated technology for both students and staff, including an additional new computer lab to be installed in the TCHS Media Center. The deadline to complete these projects is September 30, 2013.
In addition to a $250,000 donation, this same generous individual has offered to donate an additional $100,000 to Temple City High School if the school can raise $100,000 in matching funds by September 30. Again, the donor has targeted technology as the area of emphasis. This money cannot be used for salaries of any kind. With this additional $200,000, TCHS can really make strides in bringing the High School into the technological 21st century!
