The entire Alhambra coaching staff was let go Tuesday for providing nutritional supplements to seven of their players.
The products were over the counter, but one family was not aware and spoke to the school administration. Following Tuesday’s practice Chuck Leonardis and his staff were let go by newly instated Principal Duane Russell.
Since the departure of Gil Ruedaflores after the 2009 season, the Moors football program has gone through three head coaches. All of them terminated. Lou Torres, Joe Kanach, and now Leonardis.
Sources at the school tell Mid Valley Sports that the search for a new coach begins immediately. More to follow.
