Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) hosted its baccalaureate and commencement exercises for the graduating class of 2013 on Friday, June 7, at 6:00 p.m. on the school campus.
The ceremonies honored the graduates who earned acceptances from universities and colleges across the country. Ninety-nine percent will begin their post-secondary education in the fall, with the majority majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) related fields.
“We’re so proud of the graduating class,” said Bosco Tech Principal Xavier Jimenez. “These young men have certainly applied themselves to the educational opportunities offered to them and they’ve used their experiences to better themselves and their community. We are certain of their successful future.”
Graduating senior Allan Huang gave the valedictorian address. The salutatorian was Patrick Williams, a member of the junior class, in keeping with Bosco Tech tradition.
The baccalaureate Mass was held on the campus mall, with the traditional conferral of diplomas following. An alumni reception was hosted immediately after the graduation festivities for past students.
