Fifth Annual Long Beach Funk Festival

The culture and sustainability series Summer And Music (SAM) announced exciting acts for its fifth annual Long Beach Funk Fest (LBFF), which will take place Saturday, July 6, from noon to 11 p.m. at the Downtown Long Beach Promenade (east of Pine Avenue between 1st & 3rd Streets). 2013 LB Funk Fest Funk of July artists include Charles Wright and the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band, Blackbyrds, Bernie Worrell Orchestra, Circle City Band, Jungle Fire, Henry and the Invisibles, and the Funk Angels. LBFF’s 2013 festival lineup of nationally renowned artists strengthens its reputation as both a respected summer festival and world-class funk event. Funk of July will include a full day’s worth of memorable funk performances on two stages, several DJs, dancers, two beer gardens (presented by Beachwood BBQ & Brewing) and a variety of on-site activities and vendors. The full event lineup will be announced at a later date.
