Johnathon “JP” Marquez as a senior at Whittier Christian High School was chosen to represent his school, Whittier Christian High School, CA, in the Down Under Football Bowl in Australia this summer.
JP a senior, who was the running back for Whittier Christian High School football this past season has played contact football since he was seven years old playing for La Habra Pop Warner and playing three years at Whittier Christian. Being a two year varsity player, he has played competitively against big schools like Monrovia HS, Maranatha HS, and Cantwell Sacred Heart HS. He has appeared in the paper many times in 2011-2012 seasons and 2012-2013 season. ‘JP’ has also been in the Mid Valley Sports Top 10 and “the Ten” as a player to watch. He also has won two Olympic League Championships with the Whittier Christian Heralds.
As an athlete Johnathon has been invited to participate in the Down Under Sports Tournaments hosted on the Gold Coast of Australia. JP is honored to be an ambassador of community and state, but also our country. Johnathon will be participating in this international event in the Western Conference Football
Team during the summer of 2013. JP is looking for sponsors to make donations towards the cost of
competing Down Under. A major source of funds comes through voluntary contributions of family, friends, and business sponsors. Your sponsorship will be a very important part of fundraising for Johnathon and his team. This donation will help us fulfill this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
