Temple City Unified School District’s 2012-2013 Teachers of the Year were recognized for their outstanding dedication and service to the District and its students at the September 12, 2012 Board Meeting.
Cloverly Elementary School celebrates fifth grade instructor, Katie Rose, as its teacher of the year.
Emperor Elementary School honors first grade teacher, Aimee Reid.
Third grade instructor, Ellen Dunki-Jacobs, is the top teacher at La Rosa Elementary School.
Fourth grade instructor, Nancy Hong, is Longden Elementary School’s teacher of the year.
Oak Avenue Intermediate School recognizes Special Education teacher, Aryn Hart, as its top teacher.
English instructor, Sarah Penalora, is Temple City High School’s teacher of the year. Ms. Penalora also received special recognition as TCUSD’s Teacher of the Year for her outstanding service to students and staff. She was also recognized at a County-wide recognition luncheon and awards ceremony on September 21.
Sean Patterson was recognized as the top teacher at the Dr. Doug Sears Learning Center.
Board Members Kenneth Knollenberg, Bob Ridley, Matt Smith, Kien Tiet, and Joe Walker and
Superintendent Chelsea Kang-Smith congratulated everyone for receiving these very special and well-deserved awards.
TCUSD’s Teachers and Classified Employees of the Year will be honored at a special recognition luncheon at the District Office in October.
