The Norwood Library is pleased to present an annual special children’s bookmark contest.  Submit your entry now through Saturday, October 27th by 6 PM.  The County of Los Angeles Public Library will be celebrating Children’s Book Week, May 13-19, 2013, by conducting our 33rd Annual Bookmark Contest with the support of Pentel of America, Ltd.

Children’s Book Week offers children, librarians, educators, publishers, booksellers and families an opportunity to honor children’s books and the joy of reading.  Across the nation, libraries are hosting events which highlight the value and delight that children’s books bring to the young and not-so-young.  This year’s theme is “It came from a book/íVino del libro!”

Children are invited to participate in the Bookmark Contest being held at the Norwood Library, where entry forms are available.  Entries will be accepted in four divisions, from Kindergarten to12th grade.  Winners will be selected from each division and will advance to regional contests.  Prizes are furnished by Pentel of America, Ltd., the County of Los Angeles Public Library and the Friends of Norwood Library.  Regional winner bookmarks will be distributed at local County Libraries and posted on our web site.
