San Gabriel, Ca –To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Nixon’s first visit to China, the Los Angeles/San Gabriel Chapter of The US-China Peoples Friendship Association (USCPFA) will be hosting a weekend conference at the San Gabriel Hilton, including Consul General Qiu Shaofang.
The theme is New Age of U.S.-China Relations: Promote Friendship, Educational Exchanges,
Enhance Understanding, Build Permanent Peace.
Invited dignitaries will be from business, politics, NGOs and academia from both countries and invited keynote speakers include Madame Xiaolin Li the President of the Chinese Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Shaofang Qiu the Consul General of China in Los Angeles, and Congresswoman Judy Chu.
Tentative seminar topics pertain to both the historical and contemporary, including “History of Chinese Immigration to the US,” “The Evolving Chinese Economy,” and “The Changing Face of Chinese in America.”
The event will take place on Friday, October 26 to 28, 2012 at the San Gabriel Hilton Hotel.
The US-China Peoples Friendship Association (USCPFA) is a nonprofit educational organization developed to strengthen friendship and understanding between the United States and China.
