33rd Annual Bookmark Contest, Fall 2012
County of Los Angeles Public Library now presenting our 33rd Annual Bookmark Contest. This year’s theme is “It Came from a Book!” “Vino Del Libro!” The deadline to turn in your entry at your local County of Los Angeles Public Library is October 27, 2012
This contest is a special program for children and their families and highlights the wonder and importance of books and reading. The challenge for parents, educators and librarians is to introduce children to great reads and nurture the love of reading and the library.
Children can take part in the 33rd Annual Bookmark Contest at the Temple City Public Library where entry forms are available. Children can enter their designs in the following groupings; Kindergarten through 2nd Grade; 3rd Grade through 5th Grade; 6th through 8th Grade; and 9th through 12 Grade.
We will announce library winners on Friday, November 16th; then move on to the regional contest. We will announce the winners of the regional competition in February 2013, and publish their bookmarks on our webpage; www.colapublib.org/children.
Pentel of America, Ltd., will print the winning designs and these bookmarks will be available at County Libraries during National Library Week, April 2013.
