Sylvia Beltran is the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension. The bridge on the 210 freeway is almost complete and work is progressing on completing the Gold Line from Los Angeles to Ontario. The Monrovia Gold Line Maintenance Yard is be contructed now at the 210 freeway and Mountain exit. We were treated to the official visit of this year’s Camellia Festival Royalty.Camellia Festival

Rich Wenzel is offering the following schedule for Ronald McDonald Meal of Love for Wednesday, March 6: The theme is ground beef. Ron Dorazio will be picking up the food. Main Dish is Steve Montesanti and Rich Wenzel, Salad is Chuck Shaw and Matt Smith, Dessert is Dave Seltman and Dan Snell, Bread is Mike Miller, Drinks by Ron Dorazio. Also, Rich would like an indication from you for your continued

participation.

Temple City Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a

Candidate’s Forum for City Council on February 25 at 7:00 p.m.. You are invited to go to the Chamber website at www.templecitychamber.org and submit a question to be asked of the candidates.

Mid Year Conference will be Saturday, March 2 at the Burbank Marriott Airport Hotel. Online registration registration is $50. Inter-club luncheon will feature keynote speaker and Kiwanis International Trustee Jan Erickson. The club will pick up the cost of early registration only. This is a great opportunity for some of our newer members to know more about Kiwanis.
