Holiday times are past and a new year is like getting a clean slate. Do you have a lot of good ideas on what you want the coming year to bring? A New Year, can be a great time to get a new start on some of the things we either didn’t finish last year or maybe something we wanted to do, yet never seemed to find a time or the way to get started. Now may be the time to gather our ideas and start making plans. Do you volunteer to help others? Are you interested in belonging to a service organization dedicated to community service and improvement? The Holiday season is a time when everyone is most generous and giving. We all love to buy gifts for our family and friends and so many also remember those less fortunate than ourselves. But, let us not forget those that need our help not only during the holiday season, but during all of the year. Many of are fortunate enough to be able to donate needed funds and for those that are not able to donate in this way…donating time is one of the most precious gifts that anyone can give. Time is priceless! There are many who rely on the “Meals on Wheels” program for needed delivery of prepared food to their homes. Volunteers are always needed to deliver these meals and as drivers. If you can give a few hours a week or would like more information on this community service program, contact Donna Crippen at 626-444-3813.
