by Andrew Bettridge

It’s that time of the year again. Lucas Oil Off Road returns to Southern California for the regional series. At Glen Helen Raceway, the fans came out in masses to see the restructured regional series. The Pro Lite and Super Lite categories bow run the Regional Series. A destructive multiple car crash occurred on the first lap during the first turn of the Limited Buggy race. The crash knocked pout three cars due to the bent, broken parts and wheels. Brooke Kawell knocked down a second place win in her Gel Coat Pink Mod Kart, during the Modified Kart category. Ray Griffith ran the entire race in the second or first place, until an unfortunate small spin out in the third turn dropped him back to forth place. Finally into the Pro Open, newcomer Ray Griffith was never able to recover to a podium spot. Coming soon more Regional Racing and National series  here in Southern California every month in May.
